Sex provides different things for men and women emotionally, physically and spiritually. The more information you exchange with your partner, the more satisfying the sex and the relationship. When you know how to ask for and receive what you want, you allow yourself to play in the joy and pleasure of the moment, delighting in the emotional and physical journey for the satisfaction and empowerment of both partners.
Patricia will share some powerful techniques that allow you, gently and without feeling awkward, to ask for exactly what you want and need to have a fulfilling, joyous partnership and sex life.
“When Pat shows up to lead a workshop, before she even says anything, her healing energy and attitude make everyone calm down and feel safe. Once this safe environment is created, people learn better and have more fun relating to one another. Pat’s style is energized and entertaining. Somehow it goes hand in hand with that ‘peacefulness within’ that makes everyone feel so comfortable. Her workshops enlighten us and give us hope for a better world.”
-Dr. Marianna Lead, Ph.D., President, International Coach Federation, NYC Chapter

Eve's Garden Manhattan Store is Proud to Present
It's first ever Introduction to Bellydance workshop on
Wednesday, June 8th 6-8 pm
Presented by Safiya!
Facilitated by Dr. Barbara Bartlik
No dance form generates more mystery, curiosity or interest than raqs sharki, better known in America as bellydance. The product of women’s wisdom traditions that go back to the dawn of human culture, modern bellydance has evolved into an immensely rich and diverse dance form thanks to infusions of elements from the many cultures along the Silk Road and North Africa which participated in its creation. This timeless dance form puts us in direct communication with our forgotten feminine self, empowers and strengthens us inside and out and gives us techniques handed down from woman to woman for generations on how to access the deep feminine and awaken our sexual energies.
Safiya will give a brief talk and and then demonstrate core moves. An expert teacher with over 15 years experience introducing people to this wonderful dance, Safiya currently is on staff at The New York Open Center and has conducted classes at the The Bridge For Dance, Columbia University, NYU, and The Julliard School. She is a certified Pilates instructor working with Gotham Physical Therapy and has performed with the Anahid Sofian Dance Company at Town Hall on Broadway, Tribeca Performing Arts Center and Lincoln Centre Library for the Performing Arts. In addition to company work, she has performed at the Vermont Festival of the Arts, as well as at cabarets and cultural events in New York, the Mid-West, Paris and Istanbul. Her classes are smart, fun, and authentic. Please wear something comfortable and be prepared to work up a little sweat.
More information can be found at www.safiyadance.com. Safiya's email address is safiya@safiyadance.com
