Psychiatrist and sex therapist in private practice

Some people have psychological issues that interfere with healthy sexuality such as the stress of daily
living, depression, performance anxiety, intimacy issues, addictions, or difficulties stemming from traumatic
experiences. For others, medical problems such as poor health, chronic pain, digestive problems, or side effects
of medications are the main cause. Still others are deficient in thyroid or sex hormones or may not be leading
the healthiest of lifestyles. They may be eating too much of the wrong foods and not enough of the right
ones. This can lead to deficiencies in essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids, which in turn can lead to an
imbalance in brain neurotransmitters and sexual and emotional problems as a result.
